What if I told you that your entire home and office need a complete revamp. Not tomorrow. Not now. Like Yesterday!
I know, I know! At this very moment, you’re rolling your eyes at me and telling me to burn in the deepest part of interior designer hell or whatever hole I crawled out from. I get it, so no offense taken. I probably would be doing the same thing if I didn’t know what I do now.
But through my studies in psychology and metaphysics and working with dozens of design clients over the years, I have seen firsthand how our environment is one of the most important factors in how we feel and perform. I now understand that the more time we spend in a space, the more our behaviors and habits are influenced by it. Unfortunately, for so many of us, the spaces that we live and work in are often the direct enemy of our success, and we don’t even realize it.
The wealth you desire, the freedom you crave, and your wildest fantasies are all within your reach. But did you know that you could use your environment to manifest it all?
So, before you go all Real Housewives on me, hear me out, diva. I’m about to show you exactly how to create a positive aura at home that supports you in fulfilling your every dream. You can change your life by revamping your space.
Ready to find out if your space is holding you back from Your next level of greatness? I’m about to spill the tea.
The Secret: It All Starts With A Little Bit of Self-Care (and Wellness)
Let’s look at it this way — we’ve moved from one global crisis to the next, and our lives have been completely interrupted and upended. But as we navigate this unknown terrain, wellness should definitely be at the top of our minds. Prioritizing wellness ensures that we’ve got all it takes to conquer the curveballs this topsy turvy life throws at us.
For us women, wellness means having the freedom to be ourselves, feeling beautifully supported, and experiencing what’s most important to us:
We love our space; we absolutely love beauty (yes, good taste chose us, and we are honored to indulge), and more than anything, we need to keep our energy levels optimized to masterfully slay our top priorities and goals — a thriving career, deep connection with ourselves and our loved ones, and building our communities.
Am I right, or am I right?
You know what they say, “If you give a woman enough space, quiet, and time she can solve anything.”
Accomplishing our goals and being able to focus on the things that inspire us not only keeps us feeling purposeful and beautiful but also gives us the extra push we need to stand in our authenticity and femininity with confidence.
That’s the miracle of self-care staring you right in the face.
Think about how it feels when you put on your favorite outfit. Come what may, you breeze through the day easily, in total control ,and great spirits. Tell me you don’t know exactly what I am talking about here?
If just a little more effort into our appearance can do magic to our self-esteem, think about what the meticulous design of our environment will do to our lives. Beautiful spaces, like beautiful clothing, are a huge source of inspiration for us.
Our spaces are the most powerful tools for creating a better quality of life, cultivating a sense of wellness, promoting a positive aura around us, and achieving peak self-actualization.
Thus, extending self-care to include our environment optimizes the energy we need to stay at the top of our slay game.

How Intentional Space Designs Can Improve the Quality of Your Life

How in the world does our physical environment impact our daily lives?
Picture this: You share a single sink in a poorly-lit bathroom with your baby love. You don’t have a separate space to do your hair, skin + makeup routine, and get dressed. One day, you are both running a little behind schedule and are trying to get ready at the same time.
Here’s how it ends: unblended creasing concealer, stubborn flyaway hair strands, lint in places that you couldn’t see when you looked in the bathroom mirror (with the awful lighting).
Of course, you don’t notice any of these things until you’re at the stoplight 15 minutes into your commute in heavy rush hour traffic.
Now, not only are you frustrated on your morning commute and trying your best to blend and brush at stop signs, barely missing bumpers as you’re multitasking grooming and driving. You are also unfocused and flustered at a time that you could be using to get into the zone for your day.
And for the rest of the day, you’re going to be a little less confident than usual about your appearance. Which, as you know, can completely kill how you show up in your face-to-face interactions. All because of a poorly designed bathroom. Womp, Womp.
That’s precisely how not having designated space for the simplest routines can totally knock you off your slay game and have your energy levels as flat as a pancake all day long.
But all of this drama can be avoided when you intentionally and optimally design your spaces around your habits and routines.
Let’s just imagine how much better your life would be if you had the perfect space. You know, the one that helps you breeze through your morning routine with ease even when you’re running late. The space that entices you to perform your most essential routines (even the ones you’d rather avoid like the plague). The one you intentionally and optimally designed around your biggest goals. Yes, that’s the one.
It’ll definitely have a double vanity in the master bathroom. So, now you’ve got all your stuff on your side of the bathroom. It has appropriately colored vanity lighting positioned “just so” for flawless makeup application. Now you can be confident knowing you’ve covered every single detail before you step out into the world every day. How does that sound, diva?
I see you already grinning from ear to ear, but we aren’t done here. I told you I was going to blow your mind, didn’t I?
So let’s get a little crazy and create the ultimate space together: insert a separate vanity area in a different room altogether — complete with a comfortable chair, gorgeous desk, mounted full-length mirror, a makeup mirror with the perfect lighting and angles, and organizers for all your favorite tools and products.
Now, you no longer have to rush because everything has its place, and you know precisely where everything is. In addition, your new space is super intimate, so you get that much-needed “me time” that we all need when prepping for the day. It’s so serene and calming that now it’s become one of your favorite parts of the day, and you can’t wait to strut over to your beautiful vanity area every morning and dote on yourself.
Yassss, girl, that’s more like it! See how your life feels so much better and delightful already? All of a sudden, with just a little design alignment, your morning routine just went from pure chaos to total bliss.
Three snaps for you, queen.
This is just a sneak peek of what you can achieve by making intentional changes to your space? Stick with me, and I’ll show you exactly how you can design your spaces to help you optimize your physical health, energy, relationships, financial goals, and lots more.
How To Create A Positive Aura at Home
I bet you didn’t know that statistically, women are more likely to suffer from severe stress than men. And it makes sense. Between domestic responsibilities and emotional overload, it’s almost impossible not to become overwhelmed. But you’d be amazed at how the little things can help alleviate a lot of that stress and anxiety.
If you find yourself continuously feeling super stressed out, as many of us do at one point or another in life, it’s probably time to create space for self-preservation and restoration — literally and figuratively.
You can achieve this by prioritizing wellness and self-care. You need them both to show up as your best self for your family, friends, team, community, and most importantly YOU.
It all starts with creating a “safe zone,” a space just for you to recharge and do whatever makes you happy — meditation, exercise, reading, a cat nap, anything. When you’re in the safe zone, it’s all about you and nothing else. Off-limits to everyone, this space helps you to cultivate physical and mental wellness by inviting you to enjoy “me” time. We like to think of these safe zones as pockets of sanctuary within a space.
Safe zones have worked magic for our workaholic Powerhouse CEOs who spend most of their time at their business headquarters. The must-haves:
- A cushiony velvet chaise AND cozy throw blanket for power naps
- A hidden, fully stocked fridge full of healthy snacks, water, and refreshers
- Signature aromatherapy and essential oils
You’ll be stunned by how much intentional design of their office space has given them the capacity to destress and regroup as they transition through all of their CEO duties day in and day out — their personal haven at work.
Although there are many other ways your spaces can be used to cultivate physical and mental wellness, I highly recommend that your designated safe zone be first on that list when you start to think about updating your space. Safe zones are a way to unwind, declutter, and reset your energy as you juggle that never-ending to-do list.
By physically creating this space, you will be encouraged to routinely engage in “me time,” self-care, and reflection. Before you know it, you will find your energy levels have significantly improved. It’s literally like having a secret weapon.
What’s your very own “safe zone” look and feel like? Start to think about what form of self-care you need right now and create your “safe zone” with that energy in mind.
It’s Time To Create a Positive Aura at Home (To Help You Live Your Best Life)

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or stagnant, take a look around you. It’s likely that your environment is a major culprit of your blues.
Let’s give it a test. Does your space allow you to flow freely and comfortably without any blockages? Or is it all cluttered and messy? I bet you answered NO and YES. Do you see what I mean? Don’t worry if you don’t get it. I’ll explain.
No matter which way you slice it, we are all energetic and sentient beings experiencing what we call life in physical form. What does that mean exactly? Our inner and outer worlds are inter-connected; they are almost always a reflection of the other.
Since “reflection” seems to be a buzzword these days, I will share how I define it here in the context of our holistic interior design process.
Reflection: a revolving transfer and replication of information between your inner world (internal = energy) and outer world (external = physical).
That’s why the physical clutter in your space is often a big stress inducer as it creates excessive stimuli (aka sensory overload) and directly results in mental clutter, making you feel overwhelmed, anxious, and unfocused.
In terms of design, your physical environment manifests your energy and vice versa. Thus, they are constantly imprinting upon each other and are a direct reflection of who and what you are. Consequently, they are also shaping your future.
So now that we know how critical space is to our success, how do you make this work to your advantage? You hack the system, of course.
Tired of being utterly bored? Transitioning into a new phase of your life? Ready to reach new heights? Then infuse your physical environments with new information (your visual cues) that affirm your desires, and watch how your inner and outer worlds unfold in alignment.
And apparently, I’m not alone in this theory; Lady O seems to agree with me:
“I went through the process of decluttering and reconstructing my house with the goal of keeping only what fits my life now.”
~ Oprah
There’s even a whole article on how “The Queen of Media” found the courage to let go of the old to make room for her new goals here. But, after that, do we need any more convincing?
Now, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I like to do almost everything in grand fashion, and I am a major advocate of the adage “ Out with the old and in with the new.” But I want to stress that this goes so much deeper than the surface level of a visually beautiful design.
Think about what self-care means to you, and picture what your safe zone should look like. Then, send us a note At The Glass Touch to tell us all about it.
Now, that’s how to create a positive aura in your home and live the life you’ve been dreaming of.
